As a recovering "ugly duckling," Donna knows the strength, determination and effort required to change the inner self. She knows that people are motivated by many different things. In fact, her own main source of inspiration was fear! She was afraid that God would hold her accountable for not using the many talents He gave her (Read Matthew 28:13-30.) So she finally started using them...

She never dreamed she'd become an inspirational speaker and writer

Her journey to become an inspirational speaker and writer actually began as a child. While in fifth and sixth grades she learned she had a talent for writing and performing on stage (learn more by reading the inspirational short story "When I Grow Up").

But then adolescence and early adulthood stole her confidence. Eventually she settled into a life of happy mediocrity.

In June 1998 Donna finished her Bachelor's Degree in Business Management thru the University of Phoenix' On-line campus. As she neared the end of the degree program it occurred to her that she had gained something not expected from the program. Confidence!

"I never took a class called Confidence 101, but I know I could pass the final exam," says inspirational speaker Donna Doyon.

"Now I'm having a lot of fun teaching other people how to explore their possibilities--how to change from 'ugly ducklings' into confident swans,' she says.

With her soothing voice and friendly manner, Donna will challenge you to try new things or look at them from a different perspective. She'll encourage you to accept the past (no matter how difficult) as a blessing that provides a strong foundation upon which you can build your wonderful future. She offers practical ideas for making small changes today that will result in significant differences tomorrow.

As a member of Toastmasters International and a graduate of the Christian Leaders, Authors, and  Speakers Services (CLASS) seminar, Donna is devoted to developing her public speaking and writing skills so that she can lead and inspire audience participants to put an end to self defeating attitudes and behaviors, improve their personal and professional relationships, and start building the lives they want to live.

In 2003, Donna celebrated her 40th birthday by accomplishing three major goals!

1. She finished her Masters Degree in Adult Education. (YEAH!)
2. She finished the Advanced Toastmasters-Gold designation (Meaning she gave over 40 prepared speeches at her Toastmasters clubs)
3. She published her first full-length book titled GLOW: Renew Your Spirit & Release Your Inner Beauty. (A LIFETIME GOAL COMPLETED! SO SWEET!)

As for her private life, Donna lives in Maine with her husband of over 20 years, their two teen-age children who don't complain (too much) when she hogs the computer or forgets to go to the grocery store. Other family members include a cat named Fluffy, a stuffed crocodile named Clem, and a bear named Binkie.
